Built-in magnifying lens. Edge rule is graduated in meters at 1: 50, 000. Damped by an inner copper shell that allows for fast settling of needle. Operating temperature: -50° to + 160° F. Includes finger loop for holding compass steady, nylon lanyard and nylon carrying case with “ Alice” belt clip. Model 183 Contains tritium filled vials that provide a bright green fluorescence allowing the compass to be read at night without an external light source. Model J277 Has phosphorescent paint that requires outside light for activation.
